Welcome to the 48th edition of the International Semiconductor Conference - CAS 2025!
CAS 2025 conference, an IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) event, will take place in Sinaia, Romania, October 7 - 11, 2025.
Semiconductors, integral components of near all contemporary technologies, represent a pivotal human invention. They are transforming our world at an unprecedented level, driving the transformative technologies of the future, encompassing artificial intelligence, autonomous driving and electric vehicles, and advanced wireless networks.
As one of the oldest conferences in Europe, started in 1978, CAS brings together every year leading academic scientists, researchers, industry specialists and students, to exchange novel research in the fields of nanoscience, micro- and nanotechnologies, and semiconductor devices physics and technology.
The event annually attracts around 150 participants, who enjoy a comprehensive technical and social program, share practical experiences, discuss current challenges and find the right solutions in emerging areas of micro- and nanotechnologies.
CONFERENCE FORMAT
October 7, 2025: Satellite events (workshops), Conference Registration and Welcome Cocktail
October 8 – 11, 2025: Plenary sessions, Oral presentations of regular papers, Poster sessions, Special sessions for Student papers, Sponsors Exhibition, Workshops, Social activities and networking: Banquet including Best papers Awards ceremony, trip.
Authors are invited to submit original papers on the following topics:

The accepted papers (4 pages) at CAS conference will be published in the Conference Proceedings and will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore database subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements. CAS Proceedings volumes are available in IEEE Xplore database for each conference edition each starting 1995. The papers were indexed by Web of Science since 1996 until 2021.

The conference is organized by the National Institute for R&D in Microtechnologies, Romania (coordinated by the Ministry of Education and Research) and is co-sponsored by IEEE - Electron Devices Society Section.
