Pekka Pursula, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Espoo, Finland

Dr. Pekka Pursula received the M.Sc. degree and D.Sc. in physics from Helsinki University of Technology, Helsinki, Finland, in 2002 and 2009, respectively. In 2002 he was with the Philips Medical developing RF systems in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Since 2003 he has been with the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, where he has developed RFID tags, readers and systems at HF, UHF and millimetre waves. D.Sc. Pursula received the Young Scientist Award at URSI/IEEE XXIX Finnish Convention on Radio Science in 2004. He has authored and co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles and three invited papers. He is a co-inventor in 5 patent applications.
