E-news CAS 2017, No. 6 The deadline for uploading of the proposals for contributed papers to CAS 2017 (an IEEE event, 11-14 of October, 2017, Sinaia, Romania) is 12th of June, 2017 (in fact, the limit is 7.00 GMT next day). An important alternative for sending current papers was introduced a few days ago. In order to propose a paper, apart from the previous system with a four pages extended abstract, you may use the Short Abstract Paper format of only two pages. The template is also available on the upload site, at the address http://www.epapers.org/cas2017. “Short abstract Papers” should be introduced in a special place, clearly visible on site. The short form should still contain sufficient relevant information in order to allow proper selection. Another important information is: apart from publication in CAS Proceedings, an IEEE publication exploited by Xplore, we can provide rapid publication of extended versions of the above papers, in an ISI publication available on-line, see www.imt.ro/romjist. As an example, No.3/2016 of the above journal displays 8 papers originating from the presentation at CAS 2016. The extended papers are refereed, but the publication is free of charge.
