IMT can be considered a Centre of industrial services, through the development (in co-operation) of new technologies and products (e.g. microsensors technologies - including CMOS compatible power devices and integrated circuits) and partnership with R&D institutes in various fields (communications, automation, aeronautics, physics, chemistry, optics, mechanics).
IMT is the promoter and coordinator of the Center for Technology Transfer in Micro-engineering (CTT-Baneasa) since 2003, center offering services also for EUROPRACTICE (MST-Design consortium) and the coordinator of the Scientific and Technological Park in Micro and Nanotechnologies (MINATECH-RO), since 2004.
