RF energy harvesting and wireless power transmission techniques are today an opportunistic solution for many emerging industrial applications. This presentation will highlights recent advances in the field of the design, optimization, proof-of-concept and implementation of battery-free wireless sensors for industrial applications including the construction domain, indoor location systems and the structural health monitoring of satellite panels. By combining RF energy harvesting and wireless power transmission techniques with energy efficient wireless communication standard such as LoraWAN, Bluetooth low energy or UWB the battery is no more a mandatory part for an active wireless sensor.
