Prof. Jan Mehner

Jan Mehner received the Dipl.-Ing and the Dr.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering and information technology from the Chemnitz University of Technology (Germany) in 1989 and 1994, respectively. From 1998 to 1999 he was a Visiting Scientist at the MEMCAD group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, where he developed algorithms and tools for reduced order modeling of MEMS. In 2004, he joined the MEMS design and reliability department at Fraunhofer IZM, Berlin.

Since 2007, he is full Professor for Microsystems and Biomedical Engineering at the Chemnitz University of Technology. His research interests include analytical and numerical methods for microsystems design, design automation, model order reduction and computational algorithms for coupled field analysis as well as model export to different design environments.
