- NEW TOPIC! Devices and smart systems for biomedical and health applications
This track is addressed to the researchers, industry professionals, clinical practitioners, and medical informatics specialists with a particular interest in electronics, physics, and micro-/nano-mechanical engineering applied in the design and the development of innovative devices, systems, and information and communication technologies addressing the broad needs in medicine and healthcare.
Papers submitted under this track should focus on sensors and/or electronic devices (e.g. wearables, implantable), instrumentation, and systems involving micro-nanotechnologies (e.g. microfluidics, biomaterials) used in biological data collection and interpretation in treatment delivery (e.g. point of care), monitoring (e.g. intra- or post-therapeutic, home monitoring, smart homes). Complementary topics such as medical big data, medical data mining, deep and machine learning (DL&ML) models, graphical interface, medical decision support systems, medical digital twins, medical data security and privacy, ML integration, and scaling-up for real-life clinical context can be also addressed in the context of the development and implementation of smart systems.
