General objectives of this project development
The project MICRO-OPTEH has the following planned objectives:
- O1. Developing and optimizing of the technology for the achievement of the two-dimensional micro-lenses arrays;
- O2. The design, experimentation and elaboration of the technology for the achievement of the two-dimensional micro-mirrors arrays;
- O3. The definition of a laboratory technology for the micro-optic concentrator based on arrays of micro-optic elements coupled with a planar slab waveguide.
Specific call objectives addressed by the project
- The project MICRO-OPTEH is addressing the general STAR call objectives such as: specific niche identification for research, technology and industry at national/EU level; to identify future project proposal for participation to ESA operational programs, the development of the national capacity for research in the area of space, setting the base for top scientific production and increasing the up/down stream research quality levels and development of research application from the space domain to connex area applications.
- This project aims to develop support technologies for performing micro-optical arrays for space applications.
- The project target is the development of related technologies that can contribute to the development of applications within the other ESA programs (Scientific program Galileo Program & Navigation related activities, Space Situational Awareness, Exploitation Program and Earth Observation).
