Results
Estimated results
The estimated results are:
- An optimized procedure for fabrication and integration of the microfluidic system with the flexible support;
- Optimized molecular biology methods for DNA isothermal amplification and labelling;
- A proof-of-concept of the developed detection system.
The expected impact of the implementation of Bio-Iso-Pat is the creation of new knowledge and intellectual property rights which will enable the further technological development of flexible point-of-care systems. The laboratory validation of the improved technical performances of our experimental structures will allow us to apply for a patent request. Discoveries of a more fundamental nature whose publication would not endanger any subsequent patent will be published in peer-reviewed journals (min. 1 ISI research paper with an impact factor >3) and communicated during international meetings.
