General objectives
O1. Investigation and studying of the specific processes for technological development of a microarray biochip containing multiallergens for the rapid and noninvasive detection for the allergies with high frequencies in Romania
O2. Investigation of the biohibridic interfaces, with accent on proteins (allergens) on silicon substrate.
The advantages of the proposed biochip by microarray technique
(a) The increase of the analyzed data number in real time
(b) Scanning of more potential markers usefully in diagnosing analysis by a biosignature at protein level- correlated with a disease stage.
(c) Allergens immobilization on a chip by making of covalent bond on surface, it’s more stable and it is needed of a small incubation time for making the human complex.
(d) Using of recombined allergens instead of allergens extracts it allows the determination and monitoring the complex profiles for sensibilization of the allergic patients, using a single test and it offers a good specificity and sensibility of the results, and, in the same time, the absence of the false positive and false negative reactions.
(e) In microarray technique it can be analyzed simultaneously small oxygen and biological samples quantities (nano- grams), making the TMA unique for immune complex detection.
Specific objectives of the project
1. Design and fabrication of the MicroArray biochip containing Multi Allergens (MAMA)
2. Fabrication of a device for the biologic material characterization – generically called Platform for electro-optic investigation of the biohibrid interfaces (PIB)
3. Testing of the MAMA biochip by generating the biomolecular recognition reactions
4. Validation of the results by comparing with recent clinical analyses |
